A former industrial site with a steppe-like character bordering the Buzau River, providing many interesting birds in a small area.
Most of the area is open rocky terrain with scattered bushes and poplar where a multitude of birds make their home. This includes, among others European Roller, Golden Oriole, European Bee-eater, Eurasian Hoopoe, Isabelline Wheatear, Eurasian Hobby, Long-legged Buzzard, Northern Wheatear, Syrian Woodpecker, European Turtle Dove, Lesser Grey Shrike andRed-backed Shrike. Montagu's Harrier, Booted Eagle and White Stork also often pass by.

A large gravel road runs through the area from Bentu to the Buzau River. It is recommended to drive to the northern end of the area where most of the birds are located. From here the area can be explored on foot or by bike.
Most of the birds are seen in the northern end by the Buzau river, the row of poplars and the schrubs north of here.
